How to force a Color Mode to be permanently configured to a certain setting (the OS sets it to something else on every wake)?

I'm using BetterDisplay the Mac in a Samsung Frame TV, it worked wonderfully and made everything clear and sharp. I changed the Mac to a new one and now and I need to set Color Mode to limited range. like the screenshot:

This is fine, but every time the Mac sleeps and wakes , or if I reconnect it another day, I need to set it again, because it changes back to the first one. I see
the star as of favourite, still I cannot change which one is the favorite. Can this be fixed?

Yes, you need to use the 'Configuration Protection' menu and thoose 'Color Mode' so the current selection is protected whenever the OS wants to set it something else.
