I was using the EDID override for a long time on M1 to force RGB output on the HDMI port. Now I have an M4 Mac Mini with Sequoia and I am using the same EDID file that used to work, but it no longer works.
This might not be BetterDisplay's fault... I have been unable to force RGB mode with alternate methods as well. But if EDID override doesn't work to force RGB anymore... there's not much use for it and hopefully BetterDisplay could be made to force it some other way.
