I would like to browse through my history by using the URL /q/:query , because it's faster to navigate to then /search/:q . To retain backwards compatibility ánd have a consistent URL, I would like to reroute /search/:query to /q/:query .

What do you think of this idea?

My opinion is that /search/:q is easier to understand, so using /q/:q should redirect to /search/:q and be used as a shorthand alias.
