Map based rouge game

Players take control of a sailing ship, and can complete missions given to them.

Players can pick up cargo in ports and deliver it to a destination for a profit using their own in game money, or accept jobs to transport goods, defend locations or other ships.

Attack locations and other players to steal their resources or collecting bounties.

Users control the ships by dragging on the screen to set speed and setting heading by multi-touch rotating.

The players could switch between a strategic top down view to a chase cam style view where they could rotate the camera around the ship.

This way they would be able to see much more detail on the ship such as custom mastheads or scrollwork and designs on the hull.... which could then be monetized as cosmetic upgrades to their ships without impacting gameplay for those that choose not to pay extra.

A similar game, though this one seems to be more about tactical scenarios than "privateer" style gameplay.

great game, and a great style, simple but super effective graphics.

I like the idea of being able to hire repair crew or being able to assign crew to repair. So that if we have sails catching on fire those not assigned to guns or rigging could be putting out fire or repairing sails as needed.
