I've noticed that when one of your contacts deletes their account the name is changed to "default" on Android and "..." on the web app. This is very confusing. Recently this happened to me with someone who I had just connected with a few hours earlier. Some of my other connections had not seen the real name of the account at all and asked me what this new "default" account was.
In addition to being confusing like this, it's also annoying if you'd like to keep the conversation history with this person and want to see their name when looking for the history.
I'd suggest this other way of handling deleted accounts on connected instances instead:
If you've never talked with the person at all, just remove the connection all together.
If you have talked: a) change the name from white to a gray color, but keep the name (don't change it to "default" and "..."). b) Write "(deactivated)" after the name on the top bar when looking at the conversation history. c) Remove the area for composing messages/interacting with the person.

If you think removing the name is still better, then at least change it to "(deactivated)" or "(deleted)" or something like that, and please still do the other things I mentioned. Thanks :)
