Short reference for GUID variable

GUID variables such as "define UpgradeCode='{MY GUID VALUE HERE}' " cannot be referenced with the new style short reference such as "$(UpgradeCode)", but must be referenced with the old style reference "$(var.UpgradeCode)." Otherwise an error occurs.
