There's no "read_post" capability in WP:

meta-box/inc/fields/post.php

Line 136 in 56588fc

if ( ! current_user_can( 'read_post', $post ) ) {

There is however "read" capability. Without this change autocomplete on metabox fields is broken (no results returned due to no one having "read_post" capability).
