I presume I have a similar issue here. Now that I am creating this connection b/w Twitter and BigQuery in 2018, I am unable to proceed further without a GNIP account. I had referred to other sources about GNIP and GNIP support services redirect to Twitter's support (I understand gnip is taken over by twitter). However, there seems to be no proper redirection as to how to go about with gnip.
Any further details on how to go about would be deeply appreciated.
Thank you!

The config file has references to gnip.com accounts - but the readme doesn't suggest how that you create a gnip.com account.
You can't create gnip.com accounts now, at least a free account anyway.
The config defaults to using gnip, so is it possible to do the configuration without gnip?
