Currently, the EEPROM (eeprom.bin) is shipped with xemu, which raises the question of why the copyright-free Xbox HDD image should not also be included. This would greatly simplify the setup process for users, as they often face challenges when trying to include MCPX and BIOS files copies from their own Xbox consoles, which are necessary for xemu to function properly.
By including the HDD image, we can enhance user experience, reduce the hassle of additional steps required for setup, and streamline testing.

We had planned to ship the hdd image at some time, but apparently there was not an issue open for it, so thanks.
I disagree bundling the hdd image will "greatly simplify the setup process for users." The hdd image is available on xemu.app with a big download button in the setup guide, but the user will still need to bring their own boot rom and bios images as described in the guide. Until there's an open source replacement for those, some assembly will be required.
Feature Request
I would like to propose that the copyright-free Xbox HDD image from your xemu-hdd-image repository be included in the xemu distribution.
Thank you for considering this request!
