Please describe the feature you have in mind and explain what the current shortcomings are?

The current implementation can't load clips into the timeline because the older API didn't offer the necessary tools for this feature. We need to review the current API to see if there have been changes that now allow us to load clips into the timeline using their clipIn/Out shot attributes.

How would you imagine the implementation of the feature?
