From today, has "lost" all my subscriptions, history, channels etc. #851
Comments
Same on my Sony. After 3 updates today, had to sign in again for each one, but not always worked. 6 times asked to signed in. Only last 2 of them worked. In the end there's a new update, yet again had to sign in one more time. Update: Next update after this incident fixed the problem for me. Never happened again since then. |
Also here #848 |
I've had this happen twice today, each time after a "small fixes" update. Workaround: remove account in settings, re-add account. History and such will reappear. Until you did this the app thinks it's showing your account but it's just a generic no login set of videos without ability to use long-press context menu. I had to remove account and re-add the first time about 2 hours ago after an update. Worked. Then a new update came out and it happened again. Doing the remove+add worked again. Something in today's fixes is kinda weird. (Also the order of the context menu has changed a couple of times with these updates ... "Not Interested" was the default action for a couple hours, yay, but then got slid down one notch ... just FYI to author in case this wasn't intended) Update: the 12.42 update may be unstable. I've had 2 spontaneous device reboots today after 12.42. Both right after opening the app and holding down long press for context menu functions. Device: Shield Pro 2019. Just FYI again. Update 2021-09-20: I've seen others still reporting this issue but my issue ended after doing the actions posted here. So maybe it's an issue with state of individual installs? |
Yesterday, when I unlinked it said "youtube for Xbox live", today after the update had to log in again at it now, says "Youtube for TV". |
I confirm. Re-added accounts and disabled auto-update... #849 |
Yes its broken, i would say google have changed things again!!, just need the dev to confirm issue. |
The update that arrived just now has fixed the problem for me - well done!!! |
Just updated to 12.45 well done! Thx! |
Same here. Tried uninstalling, older versions, newest version, different accounts. Whatever you can think of... Also on nvidia shield pro 2019 btw. |
Works fine here, but every so often the app asks me to activate again on youtube.com/activate Using a Xiaomi Mi Box S. |
I want to add that it happened for me on a months old version. I never changed any settings and suddenly it just happened. Hope the dev sees this as I've been missing using it every day now.. |
@yuliskov would be nice if you could actually acknowledge this issue and let us known it's being worked on. We've provided a lot of info on this and for many people it's now completely unusable. |
Same issue here, no subscriptions are showing. Nvidia Shield using SmartTubeNext 11.73. If I search for updates I get a toast saying "wait.." and nothing happens. |
On my Philips TV, I still had the old data loaded. Here I found something interesting. As I said before, my YT has dual accounts. Turns out, when you created a channel specific account before, it was linked to Google Plus. The account data is showing "@pages.plusgoogle.com". |
I thought I managed to fix the issue by signing out and in because mt subscriptions came back. But now, a few days later, I am faced with the same "Oops. Can't load content.". |
Pretty sure it's a duplicate account issue, using the normal YouTube app it asks me which account I want to use, this does not. |
it is still broken, readding account does not help upd: downloaded beta 13.92, looks like it working |

Hi, I’ve been loving using the app, but today on my Google TV Chromecast, on the current stable and beta builds I can’t access the channels or the subscriptions. I’ve tried signing out and back in, rebooting and reconnecting to Wi-Fi with no luck. Any ideas on what I can do? |
It's a bug. I'm working on the fix.
Regards, Yuriy

Excellent 👍, Thank you for the reply. |
Can't see this issue on my Chromecast with Google TV. |
Latest beta version still works just fine on my smartphone, but not on my android STB HG680P. So, it's just a partially bug. |
Just wanted to say I have the same problem on a Sony Bravia Android TV. |
My subscription feed and channels have started working again on the latest stable |
Still broken for me, unfortunately. |
Still absolutely no issue on my Sony Bravia Android TV or Google TV CC... |
Got this issue since I started the app without internet yesterday, account login doesn't generate code to connect |
I last updated the app Yesterday on my Sony TV.
Playlist, History, and Channels are all plain black today, Subscriptions says "Oops. Can't load content. Try to login again via settings".
I updated the app again just now (to Beta 12.41), and it's still saying the same thing. I rebooted my TV - same problem.
Running the real Youtube app still works OK (subscriptions etc show properly).
I still have the old "Smart Youtube TV" app installed as well - web_20210829_10_RC00 - which is a curious version, since I've not updated that since I installed more than a month ago. It's still showing all my subscriptions etc fine (although playing ads)
Something internally must be broken with the latest version(s).
Additionally - I created a new youtube account and logged in to that - same problem as above (the "Oops." error).
Note that the error says "Try to login again via settings" - but there is no way in the settings I can see to do that (this is also a new account, so it's clearly not a login problem really).
I also did, in the "Settings" under "Accounts", the option "Select on boot" - so when I start the app, I can now select one of the 2 accounts I've got each time - presumably this will "log in" to that - but it's still showing black-screens for Playlist, History, and Channels and "Oops" on subscriptions every time for both accounts.
