Description

Symphony is a gorgeous player. One of the standout features of premium music players like Poweramp or Neutron is their support for Hi-Res audio output. With Android 14 now offering native support for lossless audio via USB and other interfaces, adding this feature would significantly enhance the player’s appeal, bringing it on par with the competition.

Solution

Enable support for Hi-Res audio output via USB in the app. Ideally, dynamic output settings based on file quality (bitrate & sample rate). If it is too complex, selectable static output options (16, 24 or 32 bit) would be great as well. Leverage the native audio capabilities of Android to allow users to experience lossless, high-quality sound through compatible devices.
