TRADEMARK LICENSING EXEMPTION FOR CARETOGETHER CMS

While CareTogether CMS is licensed under the GNU Affero General Public
License v3.0 (AGPL-3.0), Coept LLC retains all rights to the CareTogether
name and logo trademarks. The following additional permission is granted
under the AGPLv3's section 7 to address the use of these trademarks:

Additional Permission Under AGPLv3 Section 7

Notwithstanding any other provision of the GNU Affero General Public
License version 3.0, the use of the CareTogether name, logo, or any other
trademarks associated with CareTogether CMS (the Software) owned by Coept
LLC requires explicit written permission from Coept LLC. This permission is
necessary for any use of the CareTogether trademarks that suggests
endorsement by, association with, or sponsorship by Coept LLC, including
but not limited to, the distribution, advertising, or marketing of software
derived from CareTogether CMS.

The following conditions apply to the use of CareTogether CMS under the
AGPLv3, with the additional trademark restrictions:

1. Restriction on Use of Trademarks: You may use, copy, modify, and
distribute CareTogether CMS in accordance with the AGPLv3, but you may not
use the CareTogether name, logo, or any other trademarks owned by Coept LLC
without separate written permission from Coept LLC, except as necessary to
describe the origin of CareTogether CMS or in a manner that is otherwise
reasonable and non-misleading.

2. Requirement for Modified Versions: If you modify CareTogether CMS and
wish to distribute the modified version, you are required to rename your
version in a way that does not include the CareTogether name or logo,
unless you have obtained explicit written permission from Coept LLC. You
must also ensure that your version does not mislead users into thinking
that it is the original CareTogether CMS or endorsed by Coept LLC.

3. Legal Notices: All distributions of CareTogether CMS or modified
versions thereof must include this trademark licensing exemption notice and
a clear statement that CareTogether is a trademark of Coept LLC, and that
the product is not endorsed by or affiliated with Coept LLC unless explicit
permission has been granted.

This additional permission is applied on a case-by-case basis and may be
withdrawn by Coept LLC at any time, resulting in the requirement to cease
use of the CareTogether trademarks.

## Licensing Notice
CareTogether is licensed under the GNU Affero General Public License v3.0 (AGPL-3.0) which, crucially, **only permits hosting this software (including derivatives) if** you also make the source code of the software and any of your modifications available to your users under this same license. This effectively ensures that CareTogether CMS remains forever open-source and doesn't simply become the base code for a proprietary derivative at some point. We value collaboration and openness, and we believe that the best way to accomplish this is to ensure the software remains open to everyone.
### Licensing Exemption
The CareTogether name and logo are exempt from the AGPL-3.0 license as they remain the property of Coept LLC. Among other things, this means that you are not allowed to brand or advertise your hosted version of this software as being the CareTogether CMS without express written permission from Coept LLC. This is intended both to protect the business interest of Coept LLC in providing the CareTogether hosted service and to protect against impersonation of the CareTogether hosted service by third parties.
