How to participate as an organization in the Dedicated Mentoring Program (DMP) 2024

Mentor Finalization & Projects Listing 31st Jan 1. Select and finalize mentors.
2. Discuss and finalize projects with mentors.
1. Review project guidelines on the GitHub Wiki.
2. Install the C4GT GitHub App in your product repositories.
3. Format existing or create new issue tickets using the provided template.
4. Create a 'DMP 2024' label and tag all tickets.
Peer Review of Projects 15th Feb - Review and provide feedback on project submissions allotted to you by the C4GT team by commenting on the tickets.

Review Parameters
Completeness, Complexity, Consistency
Final Review of Projects and Feedback Incorporation 15th Mar 1. Oversee the incorporation of feedback.
2. Ensure projects meet the benchmark.
Update the projects based on the feedback received.
Projects Open for Interested Contributors & Submission of Proposals by the Contributors 1st – 30th Apr - 1. Guide contributors and answer their queries related to projects.
2. Help them understand the projects and their scope.

Mentors are free to give assignments to interested contributors or take interviews for the selection process.
Evaluation of Proposals 1st – 20th May 1. Ensure proposals are reviewed on time and the decision is communicated to the C4GT team. 1. Participate in the review and evaluation of submitted proposals.
2. Provide insights and feedback on the suitability of proposals to project needs.
3. Assist in the final decision-making process for selecting contributors.

Mentors are free to give assignments to interested contributors or take interviews for the selection process.
Project Setup, Inauguration & Bootcamp 1st – 10th Jun - 1. Ensure contributors can set up the complete project on their local machine.
2. Collaborate with contributors to break down the project into weekly milestones and list them on Documentation Tracker (TBU).
3. Review and provide feedback on their milestone submissions.
4. Merge their milestone PRs on the DMP Documentation repo.
Coding Period 11th Jun - 11th Sep 1. Maintain regular communication with mentors during the coding period.
2. Ensure adequate and appropriate mentoring coverage, throughout the coding period.
1. Communicate availability and set interaction expectations with contributors.
2. Communicate regularly, at least twice a week, providing constructive feedback.
3. Monitor contributors' progress and keep them informed of their status.
4. Re-evaluate the project scope with contributors if significantly ahead of or behind schedule.
5. Review contributor code, ensure it meets quality standards, and merge PRs as in when raised.

Mid-point & End-point Reviews
1. Attend the mid-point and end-point reviews conducted by external reviewers for assessing the progress on the projects.
2. Provide the feedback for the contributor basis on its quality of contributions and overall performance.
Closure of the Program 20th Sep 1. Ensure that all PRs have been reviewed and merged and the evaluation of the contributor has been done so that their final stipend payment can be released. 1. Merge all PRs after review.
