First of all, no need of any regrets for not getting into CS( CS peeps only learn few(2-3) coding subjs compared to other branches which can be learnt in few weeks. There are many other branch students who code better than many CS students). It would be great if you could make it to coming GSoC and prove your mettle. 15hrs/week seems good. 10/10 knowledge seems optimistic. Make sure you know what you know and then proceed with one according to your interest.
