Welcome to the gentoo-switch_overlay wiki!

This overlay is designed to build required packages to install Gentoo Linux(And its derivitives) on the Nintendo Switch using L4t Switchroot kernel, and proprietary Nvidia drivers.

This repository is very much still a work in progress, and I will not guarantee at this point in time that every package will install "nicely". I am working on making it install nicely, but being gentoo based, you will still need a decent idea of what you are doing to get a complete build.

Currently there is a lot missing, as I am only trying to get the repository started, and tested, before I finish adding hardware support.

What is here currently includes Kernel, Driver, firmware packages, boot chain stuff, required packages that were removed from gentoo tree, and packages that people will probably want that arent included in the gentoo tree. There is no easy meta package for installing all the needed stuff, but you should at least be able to build a custom kernel, and a working userspace, with full graphics, sound, and dock support. The rest will come in time, as I get around to it.
