Temple+ supports modular PC character portrait packs.

The Co8 group had created various portraits pack for use with ToEE (see here), but those had the limitation of being mutually exclusive. You can now have several at once.

To register a portrait pack, you need to create a subfolder inside the art\interface\portraits folder. The contents of the subfolder's structure should reflect that of the original portraits folder (i.e. it should include a portraits.mes index file and all the necessary files of course).

To use the Co8 packs, you just unzip the contents of the .tpp files (these are just zip files which you can open in any zip program) into the subfolder, et voila! The portraits will become available.

Notes:

  1. The subfolder name is used as an ID. Do not change it if you've already started a game, or PC characters may have invalid portraits.
  2. If you already have a Co8 portrait pack deployed, it will create doubles if used alongside this.
  3. You can pack the files into a .dat file for convenient distribution.
