Thanks. This is a really good idea.
There are some difficulties as we are temporarily hosting the website on Google App Engine and the free tier allows only Python2 applications as far as I remember (Python3 requires a "flexible" application). For this year GSOC we are going to stick to this layout but in future we will consider to move to Python3.
I know a similar framework called nikola that provides the same features.
As we are at the first year as a GSOC Organization, we need still to structure our Web presence.
