- fix(flux-core): infinite loop protection in the parser (fix(flux-core): infinite loop protection in the parser influxdata/flux#5436)
Bumps [golang.org/x/net](https://github.com/golang/net) from 0.7.0 to 0.17.0. - [Commits](golang/net@v0.7.0...v0.17.0) --- updated-dependencies: - dependency-name: golang.org/x/net dependency-type: direct:production ... Signed-off-by: dependabot[bot] <[email protected]> Co-authored-by: dependabot[bot] <49699333+dependabot[bot]@users.noreply.github.com>
Update all loops using self.more in the parser to detect if they get stuck attempting to process the same token multiple times. This has been observed to cause the parser to get into an infinite loop with some erroneus inputs. The protection code was copied from the parse_array_items_rest and applied everywhere the parser could conceivably get stuck. It is not clear that it is possible to get stuck in all the places that the protection was added.

This packs the nupkg first, then installs it locally.
Update the string column builder to account for the memory for the string contents.
* feat(array): less leaky string array Change the behviour of the string array back to the old behaviour where accessing the Value function returns a string that is backed by the arrow memory buffer. This avoids data allocations to memory outside of the memory allocator. The implementation of array.String has been simplified somewhat as part of the new behaviour. There are a number of places where correct behviour relies on copies of the data being made. To avoid having to fix all of these in the same PR a temporary ValueCopy function has been added to maintain the old semantics. This is being used everywhere the Value function was previously, except for cases where the value is obviously immediately processed, then discarded. * chore: update internal/arrowutil/iterator.gen.go.tmpl Co-authored-by: Chunchun Ye <[email protected]> --------- Co-authored-by: Chunchun Ye <[email protected]>
* fix(libflux): build on rust 1.78 Fix compiler errors and clippy lints produced when attempting to build using rust 1.78. * fix: make generate
* feat: stop making string copies Undo the changes introduced in #5377. This is a trade-off where it is considerd better to have as much memory as possible allocated by the allocator, with the risk that it will be freed when still in use. Than to have significant amounts of memory allocated outside of the allocator. It should be noted that because of Go's garbage collector it is perfectly safe for memory to be "freed" when still in use. It just mean that any accounting done by the allocator will be inaccurate. * feat: remove unnecessary StringRef type Remove the recently added StringRef type as it is now unnecessary.
* feat: upgrade github.com/benbjohnson/immutable Newer versions of this package were changed to use generics, making them incompatible with the current code. Update to the newest version. This has the nice side effect of reducing the amount of type assertions. * fix: staticcheck
We have reports that the declared version does not exist any more so update to the latest version. This does not appear to actually change the vendored code.

* fix: Make fewer copies when building a string array "In the last few months a performance degradation has crept in when processing flux. One possible cause was the changes that were made to the way string arrays were built, which always built a full array even if it would ultimately not be needed.
