Mechanical Design of a non-COTS Reaction Wheel for attitude control of a 3U CubeSat Satellite.

A project to find a convenient mathematical model that allows to get the optimal mechanical design of a non-COTS reaction wheel for a 3U CubeSat attitude control.

Year: 2022.

Description.

In the next pages, a report about the design of a non-COTs reaction wheel is presented. The actuator is designed starting from the inertia disk in order to determine the angular momentum capability required, and ending with the complete reaction wheel model in state-space and transfer function representations.
