SBP Operators

The relationship between the SBP operators is as follows: Dx = H^{-1}Qx

  • D matrix: approximates the first derivative operator.
  • H matrix: a diagonal, symmetric positive definite mass matrix
  • Q matrix: the stiffness matrix; sometimes called the weak derivative operator below
