ATS Short Course

Sept 1 & 2.

8am -- 1pm US Pacific 11am -- 4pm US Eastern 1500 -- 2000pm UTC

Join us for two days of training on the Advanced Terrestrial Simulator (ATS), an integrated hydrologic code for modeling watershed processes. In this short course, we will cover fundamentals of the use of ATS, then break out into topically-driven groups focusing on a variety of applications. The course will include some lecture-style time, but will focus on demo problems. A Docker container allowing attendees to run and execute ATS in a controlled environment will allow participants to download datasets, execute the code, and visualize the results. After each day, we will set aside time to allow developers and users to interact on how to set up and run problems for a user's own research interests, and significant focus will be on enabling interactions that are useful to the attendee.

Cost: free to all, but registration (this form) is required. Closure date: REGISTRATION IS NOW CLOSED. Please feel free to sign up anyway, and we will email you the next time the course is offered. https://forms.gle/tsL4R5TRs1HrW2b1A Venue: Zoom

NOTE: this short course will be recorded!

Sponsored by Oak Ridge National Laboratory Program Development funds, and individual instructors supported by various US Department of Energy BER projects, including IDEAS, ExaSheds, and multiple SFAs.
