Free-Speech is a WordPress theme designed for and by Amnesty International Spain for it's Schools Network.
It's based on Underscores (https://github.com/automattic/_s) and was originally designed by @josebonito and updated by @JesusAmieiro.
This is a standard WordPress theme, so you can install it following these generic instructions:
Plus, this theme has a few dependencies. Take a look at theme before activating the theme in a production site.
Free-Speech works better if you use it with a few free wordpress plugins:
Even if these other plugins are not required to work with Free-Spech, we strongly recommend you to install them too, because of privacy reasons:
- https://wordpress.org/plugins/disable-google-fonts/
- https://wordpress.org/plugins/simple-local-avatars/
After installing Simple Local Avatars, you must:
- Navigate to your WordPress Admin area
- Go to Settings > Discussion
- Check the Local Avatars Only option
- Save
