Multi-Protocol Synchronous Serial Engine (MPSSE) to simplify synchronous serial protocol (USB to JTAG, I2C, SPI or bit-bang) design

ENIT FLASH PROGRAMMER

The FT232H is a USB 2.0 Hi-Speed (480Mb/s) to UART/FIFO IC with a single channel. It can be configured to operate with various parallel and serial interfaces that are industry standards.

The following are features:

Multiple configurations for single-channel, serial/parallel USB connections.
The device manages the complete USB protocol. Programming of firmware specific to USB is not required.
USB 2.0 Full Speed (12 Mbits/Second) and Hi-Speed (480 Mbits/Second) compatibility.
The implementation of the Multi-Protocol Synchronous Serial Engine can simplify the design of Mpt-bang, USB to JTAG, I2C, SPI (MASTER), and synchronous serial protocol designs.
The maximum UART data transfer rate is 12Mbaud. An external-level translator constrains the RS232 data rate.
The USB can transfer data at an 8 Mbyte/Sec rate into asynchronous 245 FIFO mode.
UB's synchronous 245 parallel FIFO mode enables transmissions of up to 40 Mbytes/Sec via a width-configurable, proprietary FT1248 half-duplex interface (1, 2, 4, or 8 bits wide).
FTDI's Virtual Com Port (VCP) and Direct (D2XX) drivers, which are available free of charge, generally eliminate the necessity of developing USB drivers. Receive an adjustable timeout for the buffer. The CPU's FIFO interface mode simplifies the operation of interfaces—alternative to a rapid serial interface.

User must select FT232H hardware in the software
