Chaste Tris 3

Hello everyone! I am publishing the long overdue update to my game. This is built with SDL instead of the original Raylib. This should make things work smoother for all Steam users! When I made my game originally my best knowledge was with Raylib but over time I have come to see that SDL really is the best media library I have found. I hope that you will find this one pleasing because it has all the music of the original, but it also launches faster and should consume less memory than the previous version!

You may wonder what caused me to switch to SDL instead of Raylib. Part of it was that I noticed programs written with just SDL load a lot faster. I also got better at using SDL and even figured out how to draw text and polygons using my own customized code. For this reason I no longer needed the extra features that Raylib provided.

This release is a celebration of my 37th birthday that happened on May 15 2024. I have come so far as a person, computer programmer, college student, and chess player.

Also, there is a chess game I made in beta stage at this point. It works but needs a lot of improvement. I suspect I won't have the time to really work on it until I graduate from Full Sail University. You can find what I have so far on my programming Patreon.

Fullscreen mode added

It is now possible to use the F key to switch between windowed and fullscreen modes. Windowed mode is now the default because fullscreen may not work on every PC.

Rainbow Text Update

This update includes mostly graphical changes. Now I have the title displayed in constantly changing rainbow text. I also added hours to the time display. Nothing about the core of the game changes but this looks better to me.

January 31 2023

This release has some major changes with added music and animations compared to my previous releases. Now it's starting to feel like a real game to me and I enjoy playing it too!

There are 3 songs now. The license file tells the details and links to the original songs.
