Split out from #2187. The automatic updater for the package librecad still uses the old method of updating GitHub releases. This fails the updater as it can not find the releases available on the repository.

This issue is mainly used for tracking and does not follow the standard template.

(librecad) Change to use GitHub API helper for releases

This commit updates the automatic updater to make use of our
new helper for GitHub when acquiring GitHub releases.
This makes the automatic updater work again, as the old method had
stopped worked a while back.
