Creating an Account
All coaches and lead mentors must have a FIRST® account. We also recommend that other mentors, purchasers, and parents have accounts, as well. To create an account, go to the FIRST website.
To create a new account, click Sign Up in the upper right corner.
When signing up, make sure to use an email address that you check regularly and that you use a password you will remember. Everything FIRST requires is handled through your Dashboard, and you will use the Dashboard from year to year with a single account.
After you create your account, you will receive an email from FIRST asking you to confirm your email address. Click the link in the email to verify your account. This will take you back to the FIRST website where you will be asked to log in using the account (email address and password) you've created.
Once you've logged in, there will be a series of dialog boxes outlining FIRST policies. Read through these and accept them to continue to your Dashboard.
After agreeing to the policies, you will be able to interact with your Dashboard. To finish your account, you will need to complete Profile information. In the upper right corner of the Dashboard, click on Hello FirstName LastName (where FirstName and LastName are your first and last names, respectively) to expand the menu. On the menu, choose My Profile.
On the new page, complete all required information to finish your profile. Please be aware that even though it may not be marked, you may be required to provide a phone number.
After submitting this information, your account has been created! There are two more items you should complete once your account is created.
- Everyone must complete the Consent and Release Form (instructions here).
- Coaches, mentors, and volunteers must complete Youth Protection Policy screening (instructions here).
All information available here is specific to the Alabama Region and may not exactly mirror what you can expect in other regions.
