As mentioned in the ReadMe, this is my first time editing the code for a java app directly, and broadly speaking, the biggest coding project I've worked on thus far. As such, I'm making small tweaks to improve it as I see necessary (and as I can figure out how to do). In this one, I've added a "0 days back" and "0 days forward" to the Event Selection Period option. In other words, you can set the active date range to start or end at midnight/00:00:00 of the current day. Useful if, like me, you're trying to maintain an accurate clone of an internet calendar that routinely deletes the previous day's events.
