review of previous meeting actions
- @tomkralidis: action is on me. No time to do. Defer action for next meeting. I should be more free by then
- @tomkralidis: given @alpha-beta-soup is part of the PSC and eager to attend these meetings, can we consider a new date/time slot? CORRECTION 2020-04-11 @alpha-beta-soup is a committer (not PSC)
- @francbartoli 7pm (19:00) UTC for the meeting could work for all, see world clock:
Example:
Auckland (New Zealand - Auckland) Tuesday, 3 March 2020, 08:00:00 NZDT UTC+13 hours
Toronto (Canada - Ontario) Monday, 2 March 2020, 14:00:00 EST UTC-5 hours
Rome (Italy) Monday, 2 March 2020, 20:00:00 CET UTC+1 hour
Amsterdam (Netherlands) Monday, 2 March 2020, 20:00:00 CET UTC+1 hour
Athens (Greece) Monday, 2 March 2020, 21:00:00 EET UTC+2 hours
- account https://twitter.com/pygeoapi is there, but not active yet,
- @tomkralidis there has been discussion / interest in having a -announce type mailing list. Thoughts?
- @tomkralidis we have now have a bridge between these 3, as well as an activity channel on IRC tied to commits. More details are at https://pygeoapi.io/community/
- @tomkralidis still working on completing a first pass refactor (branch issue-277-documentation). I should have something by end March.
- @jorgejesus would like to give it a look and help
- what in 1.0? discussion reflected in: 1.0 Milestone: https://github.com/geopython/pygeoapi/milestone/3
- next is 0.8.0 Milestone: https://github.com/geopython/pygeoapi/milestone/2
- @tomkralidis pygeoapi presentations submitted for Latvia and Calgary. who's coming to Athens (code sprint), Latvia (FOSS4G EU), Calgary (FOSS4G) ? Schedules may suffer from Corona status.
- @tomkralidis for 2021 we should be ready to offer a 1/2 day pygeoapi workshop contents like: setup, adding vector data, adding raster data , search, custom processing
- @justb +visualization, hopefully by then in Leaflet, OpenLayers, QGIS.
- @francbartoli for web visualization part use just a Jupyter Notebook
(See actions for opening ticket)
- activate Twitter, no email "announce" list, keep current comms channels
- domain renewal by @tomkralidis in April and use some of pygeoapi OSGeo funds to cover.
New:
- @jorgejesus to draft in https://github.com/geopython/pygeoapi/wiki/TwitterAccount
- tbd: file a ticket about starting a pygeoapi workshop
From last PSC:
- @tomkralidis to file an issue on OGC API - Records support
