Configuration

Before running the application, you'll need to set up your environment variables. Create a .env file in the root directory with the following configuration:

Steps to Set Up the Project Locally

1. Clone the repository:

git clone https://github.com/herin7/quack.git
cd quack

2. Set up the virtual environment:

python3 -m venv venv
source venv/bin/activate  # On Windows, use `venv\Scripts\activate`

3. Install dependencies:

pip install -r requirements.txt

4. Set up the database:

python manage.py migrate

5. Create a superuser (optional, for accessing the Django admin):

python manage.py createsuperuser

6. Run the development server:

python manage.py runserver

Visit http://127.0.0.1:8000/ to start using Quack.
