Compatibility with GmmLib

  • [2022-03-23] GmmLib ABI broken between 22.0.3 and 22.1.1 which is introduced from gmmlib@8dcebfe and fixed by gmmlib@29152fc. If you use the GmmLib version between those two tags, it's required to re-build media-driver with the updated GmmLib version, otherwise you would hit gmmlib#95.

  • [2022-01-19] GmmLib ABI broken between 21.x and 22.x. If your GmmLib is <=21.x serial(except intel-gmmlib-21.3.4), it's compatible with media-driver <=21.x serial but incompatible with media-driver >=22.x serial. If your GmmLib is >=22.x serial, it's necessary to upgrade media-driver >=22.x serial.

  • [2018-01-30] There was a known incompatible issue in GmmLib before first Gmmlib tag intel-gmmlib-18.3.pre1 which introduced from gmmlib/d6c3b56 and reverted in gmmlib/f7b5da5. It's NOT suggested to use the GmmLib revision between this range.
