Neighborhood Map Project

The Neighborhood Map lets you view details for crime incidents in San Francisco, CA from January 2013 to today.

How to run

You can view the Map at https://www.crimemap.org or you can download or for this repository and run index.html with your browser.

In Settings the selected time and API Limit can be adjusted In the Results view all incidents are shown in a list format.

  • Arrested and booked icon Suspect was arrested & booked
  • Arrested and cited icon Suspect was arrested & cited
  • Juvenile arrested and booked icon A juvenile was arrested & booked
  • Unfounded icon The incident was unfounded
  • No resolution icon There is no resolution
  • Other resolution icon Other resolution/incident

The site uses the Google Maps Javascript API and requests the crime incidents from the SF Open Data API

  • Adding Google Street View to each Marker InfoWindow
  • Showing more information in the list view (maybe collapsable)
