This wiki houses instructions for maintaining and augmenting the symbol library.

About NPMaki describes the dependencies that must be installed to create symbols for NPMap Builder. This system dates back to 2014, when the NPMap team adapted web map symbol-making tools developed by Mapbox called Maki. (Hence the name NPMaki, which has since been deprecated.) We use an old version of Maki. Future work on NPMap Builder will eliminate the use of this system.
