With this release, Task 5 is complete.

• Deployment of redundant root servers
  • Server in Magdeburg (Germany) operating at 19-ffaa:1:fe4,127.0.0.1 (port 53)
  • Server in Zürich (Switzerland) operating at 17-ffaa:1:1008,127.0.0.1 (port 53)
• Systemd unit for automatic startup and restart upon failure
• Upstream support for name resolution added to SCION Apps
• Documentation updated to reflect these enhancements

Task 4 Milestone release

With this release, Task 4 is complete.

• RAINS servers and rdig with SCION transport option
  • recursive resolver
  • authoritative name server

• Test suite for the new approach based on docker-compose
• Operational test RAINS servers in SCIONLab

Task 3 Milestone release

With this Release, Task 3 is complete:

• Improved rdig tool with E2E data validation option
• Prototype RAINS servers based on CoreDNS
  • recursive resolver
  • authoritative name server)
• Step by step toy example included
