changes were recently made to the purchase orders serializer. this commit updates our code so the app continues working with that change. ref: #337

restore ability to view/create purchase orders.
changes were recently made to the purchase orders serializer. this commit updates our code so the app continues working with that change.
currently, we haven't experienced any issues because the singular version of the endpoints referenced in the ticket below still exist. we are transitioning to the plural versions however so that the singular versions can be removed.
