I like reading technical books and am planning to expand my coverage to include foundational papers of some subjects that I find interesting: with the intention of understanding how subjects today interweave.
This buffer maintains a cache of technical papers/books/blogs/similar resources I'd like to go through. This is also an exercise in building up my reading efficiency for technical texts. I'm pretty quick with generic public domain non-fiction now and would like to up the ante: to maintain the effort I require to achieve [[id:20230718T223411.394444][flow]] (Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi).

Having my first cheerful light-hearted writing session for some time with some interesting music. There's still a lot that I haven't captured in these logs that is worth capturing and I could also use a some regular cleaning. This is more akin to free form journaling that I use to clear the clutter : only in this case, it isn't personal but epistemological clutter.

I do have several ideas lined up for execution but most of them are part of a large series. I guess I am enchanted by novelty and haven't built up the discipline to work on truly longer works yet (long blogs written down in one chain of thought don't count). I'm thinking of writing about the idea of being a sneaky reader. Structured around reading several books at a time to suit your mood at a particular time of the day and yeah.. I 'll head on to write about that now...

Life is boring if you're boring. This node keeps track of auxiliary skills (don't take too long to learn/progress with daily) that I would like to add to my repertoire.

Being perceived as tense and pissed-off is more often the norm due to my resting face, and I have to invest considerable efforts to not be seen as unwelcoming (I believe I'm welcoming) to a conversation.

Anyway, backtracking from that emotional tangent, I've been a philosophy aficionado (a lover of the love of wisdom??) for a few years now and have realized reading plays are pretty petty role towards tending to philosophizing well - It's mostly deep thought with intermittent writing that leads to actually consolidating your own personal assortment of experiences into wisdom.
