Releases: risingPhil/PokeMe64
v0.2.1 - Bugfix release
v0.2
New features
- Backup save to microsd card in the N64 flashcart. (Only supported on 64Drive, Everdrive64, ED64Plus and SummerCart64)
- Backup cartridge rom to microsd card on the N64 flashcart (Only supported on 64Drive, Everdrive64, ED64Plus and SummerCart64) (This feature is targeted mostly for myself to dump repro cartridges later)
- Restore .sav file from the microsd card in the N64 flashcart to a genuine pokémon cartridge. This can even be a .sav file taken from an emulator! (Only supported on 64Drive, Everdrive64, ED64Plus and SummerCart64).
- Wipe save from a cartridge (intended for rescue in case you'd restore a wrong save file and somehow make the game crash at boot) (theoretical use case)
- Reset the gen II game clock easily! The "Reset Game Clock" option sets some flags that will make the game prompt you to reconfigure the game clock when you boot it next.
UI feature
- Show a mini sprite next to the pokémon name in the distribution pokémon selection screens.
v0.1
Most changes are UI focused this time.
New Feature
- Unlock gen 2 decorations that are unavailable through normal means: (Pikachu Bed, Tentacool Doll and Unown Doll)
New UI Features
- Scroll arrows
- Show detected pokémon cartridge in initial screen
- New Stats screen with Pokémon front sprite when you receive a pokémon
- New About screen which shows version number and Credits/Special thanks
- Add screen referencing @GearsProgress ' Poké Transporter GB project to transfer Gen 1/2 to Gen 3. (I want people to be aware that this is an option now!)

Very early build - bugfix 2
The GS Ball/Celebi event unlock has now been fixed.
The GS Ball unlock was broken on previous releases: it only gave you the GS Ball item without actually activating the trigger to start the event.
But this new release triggers the GS Ball event in a completely different way: it activates the flag that makes an NPC give you the GS Ball when you try to leave the Golden Rod Pokémon center. This was the intended way to acquire the GS Ball in the international releases, but it ended up being unused. But as such, this also takes care of the necessary state changes to make the event work.
This release also fixes up saves for people who used the GS Ball unlock on older versions of PokeMe64. It does this by removing the GS Ball from the players' inventory before activating the trigger.
In addition, we also reset all the relevant GS Ball event flags. As a result, this makes the GS Ball event entirely repeatable. (but you do need to use PokeMe64 to repeat the event)
Very early build - bugfix 1
This is a version to fix a bug that was reported by /u/ImranFZakhaev on reddit :https://www.reddit.com/r/n64/comments/1echuoc/comment/lf1wwp8/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web3x&utm_name=web3xcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button
Basically when adding a pokémon in gen 1, if the party was full, it was completely broken. You may end up with a wrong pokémon on all the boxes or you may end up not being able to access the boxes at all (the game would crash).
This bug has been fixed now.
Known issues:
- Adding the GS ball in gen 2 doesn't actually unlock the event flag. So it doesn't do anything. (reported by /u/ImranFZakhaev on reddit)
- Adding pokémon to a game in which you haven't acquired the pokédex yet may softlock the game (minor issue) (reported by /u/ImranFZakhaev on reddit)
Very early build - Teach Pikachu edition
You can now teach Pikachu Surf or Fly in gen 1 Pokémon games

Very early build
This early build already provides the minimal functionality of the project:
Adding distribution pokémon to gen 1 or gen 2.
The UI doesn't look like much yet, but it's functional! :-)
Here are some screenshots from the Ares emulator, but it also works on an actual N64 with a transfer pak:
