I'm a software engineer and homesteader in southern Vermont, USA. I'm the founder of Mulch LLC where I build opensource tools with commercial licenses and do contracting. Previously I've had roles like CTO and Principal Software Engineer. I have over a decade of experience with full stack software engineering, building distributed systems, and DevOps related work. Some noteworthy contributions of mine include building the Saltstack provisioner for Vagrant and the datefinder python library.

Currently I am building out a suite of APM and observability tools compatible with opentelemetry. These tools will be available in OSS, Community, and Enterprise editions.
