Overview

This major official release includes many new features and bug fixes. Here are some main ones:

  • New daemon RPC credit system that allows nodes to earn "hashes" for mining in exchange for RPC usage (if enabled)
  • Support syncing with pruned nodes
  • New SSL generation tool
  • Much improved P2P connectivity
  • MMS messaging system included by default
  • Only allow >= 2 outputs
  • Change to the block median used to calculate penalty
  • RingCT sigs in coinbase forbidden
  • Enforce 10-block lock time for incoming transactions
  • Remove insecure long payment id support
  • Wallet inactivity lock to protect wallet when you are away
  • Improve DDOS protection
  • Many UI/UX improvements for daemon/wallet cli

This release includes a hardfork at blockchain height 350,000. It's highly recommended to update your nodes with this release ASAP.
