The original translation is "This translation is a literal one. The primary principles of translation are 'faithfulness, expressiveness, and elegance,' with 'expressiveness' meaning 'not being confined to the original form, but ensuring the translation is smooth and clear.' The original sentence's clause between two commas is a supplementary explanation, a style not commonly seen in Chinese. Since the previous sentence already emphasizes 'different types,' I believe the latter part should directly provide additional information."
The use of terms like 'the former' and 'the latter' is generally reserved for instances where the preceding and following statements are too lengthy or appear too frequently, necessitating such simplification. The original text does not use 'the latter' as the subject. Replacing 'the latter' with the acronym 'DMA,' which is the original subject, helps readers avoid having to look back for the answer.
Fix typo: change "作" to "做" in translation.
