.NET 7 has hit EOL

.NET 7 has hit EOL on May 14, 2024¹ and will no longer be supported nor receive updates.
Recommended path is to upgrade either to .NET 8 (LTS) or .NET 9 (STS).

We've hit this while removing .NET 6 and 7 from nixpgks: NixOS/nixpkgs#326335.

Thanks for pointing it out. I've been swamped and haven't given the project the attention it deserves.

I'm working on putting out a release with updates to .NET 8 and any other in-progress changes. I need to do some testing on Windows first because dynamic linking may not work with Avalonia 10 in .NET 8 on Windows (Avalonia 11 has this resolved but basically requires a full re-write). Once that's done and I get a macOS build completed (always an ordeal), the release will be added and can be moved into the Nix package.
