• Use Apple RSN supplicant instead of built-in
It allows to detect connection errors, and also enables WPA2 Enterprise support
I tested WPA2 Enterprise with EAP-TLS authentication, it works, but doesn't always connect, needs many tries and reentering username and password. It works only on Catalina – on Big Sur it connects for just a few seconds and immediately disconnects, because macOS thinks that the authentication failed.
First-generation WPA Personal with TKIP encryption doesn't seem to work (at least with my AP).
• Get full IE (information element) list instead of just RSN IE. It allows to correctly show PHY mode for discovered networks, and to show the tethering icon for iPhone networks: 
• Fix some minor memory corruptions
Still doesn't work after sleep.
