@wdduncan, it was suggested that we add confidence levels to taxon traits. this could be especially important for uncharacterized (meaning, bacteria not cultured in a lab and described) taxa. Can you think of an appropriate way to do this?

For the last option, you would have to create an instance of the class that is about the taxon trait. There are advantages to this, but is it also makes the ontology more complex. Let me consult with Chris Mungall about this. He may have a nice solution.
