Resetting NVG

This page contains guides on how to reset NVG's data.

Reset Workshop Addons

Perform the following steps to reset Workshop addons only:

1. Visit the NVG Workshop page.
2. Go to your Subscribed Items.
3. Click Unsubscribe from All.
4. Go to the Steam library page for Nonsensical Video Generator.
5. Click on the gear, navigate through Manage, and click Browse local files.
6. Once inside of NVG's installation directory, navigate through to plugins/workshop/.
7. Delete all folders named with IDs.
8. Congratulations, Workshop addons were reset!

Reset Save Data

To reset all user data of NVG, perform the following steps:

1. Go to the properties of Nonsensical Video Generator through your Steam library.
2. Disable Steam cloud by toggling off Keep game's saves in the Steam Cloud for Nonsensical Video Generator.
3. Click on the Installed Files tab of the properties window.
4. Click Browse... to open the installation directory.
5. Delete the following files and folders inside of NonsensicalVideoGenerator:

frei0r-1/
library/
plugins/
temp/
DisabledMedia.json
Options.json
PluginSettings.json
UserConsent.json
ffmpeg.exe
ffprobe.exe

6. Go back to the properties window and click Verify integrity of software files.
7. Steam will now recognize any missing files and begin to download them.
8. Launch NVG once Steam is finished downloading and perform the initial setup.
9. Close NVG once the initial setup is completed and you're at the main menu.
10. Re-enable Steam cloud in the properties window.
11. Click File conflict on the Steam library page of NVG.
12. Select Local Save and click Continue.
13. Congratulations, NVG is now completely reset!
