Face Graph aka Heatmap
Face Graph, also known as Heatmap, is a useful feature that shows you the distribution of your pictures across pitch and yaw.
Brighter colors signify more Faces within specific Pitch and Yaw angles, while completely dark field with no light border means there is no pictures of that Pitch-Yaw combination.
To access Face Graph, you need to:
- open Faces (often in
\aligned\
) - open
Detection Management
from the side menu, make sureFace
is selected in Image Information - load face data [this will take some time]
- click
Open face graph
The use is pretty simple - click on any of the boxes that have a border to see Faces of that specific Pitch and Yaw combination
You can also use the buttons on the bottom of the Face graph for extra options:
From left to right:
-
Toggle mirroring yaw angles - treat -X yaw angle the same as +X angle
-
Toggle showing only yaw angles - ignores pitch angles, and gives you a 1D graph
it is possible to combine both mirroring and showing only yaw angles
- Clear search filter frames - if you clicked on one of the boxes, use this to reset selection and again see all Faces
option is grayed out until you click on one of the boxes
-
Make control transparent when not mouse hovering over it - makes Face Graph transparent when you move your mouse away from it so you can see the picture that would potentially be blocked by it
-
x1.5 modified spread - multiplies all angle values by 1.5 (for sorting purposes only) to better differentiate the pictures (results in a face graph that looks much more spread)
There is also a minimize button to hide Face Graph (while still using its functionality) located on the left-edge of Face Graph, and once the Face Graph is minimized you can use a new button that appears next to the side-menu:
