Attention checks

To help reduce attrition during online experiments, you can enable an attention check popup. This feature triggers if we don't detect any participant activity within a specified time period.

When the attention check is triggered, participants will see the following prompt:

If the participant fails to click the button within the allotted time, they will be removed from the experiment.

Distributing experiments

To share your experiment with others, use the "Copy experiment cohort link." We recommend creating a Lobby cohort to group participants initially, then move them into breakout rooms as needed.

Prolific integration

You can also use Prolific to recruit participants.

  1. Enable integration: When creating an experiment, click "Enable integration with Prolific." image

  2. Link up redirect codes: Then, fill out the redirect codes. You can find these fields within your Prolific experiment:

  • The default completion code is required.
  • Optional: Add redirect codes for failed attention checks or blocked participants. These help manage participants in Prolific.
  1. Route participants to your experiment: After creating your experiment, create a cohort and copy the link. Paste this link into your Prolific experiment:

Participants will be redirected to Prolific after completing or being booted from your experiment.
