Errors/Crashes or Black Screens?

Be sure you followed the installation instructions
Always include your .minecraft/forgemodloader.log and/or .minecraft/crash-report (use [pastebin.com](pastebin.com) or [spoiler][/spoiler] tags)
Be specific, I cant help you if the only thing you say is: I can’t get it to work help or help I have a black screen or I think it isn’t compatible with mod x
Post it on the MinecraftForum

Client Installation

客户端安装

Download the recommended Forge Installer
Make sure minecraft is closed
Run the Forge Installer
Select Install client and press OK
Locate your .minecraft folder
    Run minecraft
    Press options -> Resource packs -> Open resource folder
    Go up one folder
Create a mods folder in your .minecraft folder if it’s not their already
Download Custom NPCs and place the jar in the mods folder (Don’t unzip it)
You now have installed the Custom Npcs Mod
Be sure to select the forge profile when running minecraft

1. 下载推荐的Forge安装器
2. 确保Minecraft未运行
3. 允许Forge安装器
4. 在下拉条中选择"Install Client"选项并确定
5. 选择你的.minecraft位置
6. 运行Minecraft
7. 进入 选项 -> 材质包 -> 打开材质包目录
8. 会在资源管理器中打开一个目录
9. 在".minecraft"目录下创建"mods"文件夹如果"mods"文件夹不存在(!File.exist)
10. 下载本模组并将其放入"mods"文件夹(tm别把它解压了扔金钱然后问为什么用不了)
11. 你现在已经安装了自定义NPC模组了
12. 你使用启动器启动时确保选择了启动版本为forge

Server Installation

服务器安装

Download the recommended Forge Installer
Create a folder where you want to install your server in (don’t use the .minecraft folder
Run the forge installer
Select Install server
Navigate to the folder you create by pressing the … button
Press OK
The forge installer will now download the minecraft_server.jar and install forge to it
Create a mods folder in your servers folder
Download Custom NPCs and place the zip in the mods folder (Don’t unzip it)
You now have installed the Custom Npcs Mod for your server
Remember people joining need to have customnpcs installed.

此方法已经不适用于需要安装插件的服务端

1. 下载推荐的Forge安装器
2. 在你想安装你的服务端的地方创建一个目录. (不要使用".minecraft"目录)
3. 运行安装器
4. 在下拉条中选择"Install Server"选项
5. 按下那个逗比按钮(充满了java style的按钮?)并找到你创建的文件夹
6. 点击确定
7. 安装器将会下载minecraft_server.jar并往里面塞forge(说白了就是强暴官方服务端)
8. 创建"mods"文件夹在你的服务端目录
9. 下载自定义NPC模组并扔进"mods"文件夹(我相信腐竹们不会犯解包的错误)
10. 你已经安装完成了!
11. 记得玩家加入前要安装模组=A=
