Supported Authentication Methods

There are many approaches, which can be used to authenticate a user. For instance, one eID service can support username/password as well as smartcard based authentication. In the following, the existing authentication methods are summarized. Details regarding the exact authentication scheme with a reference to the official documentation are then described below. If the details are not explicitly provided, we refer to[1], which is based on the results of the STORK 2.0 project[2].
