This modpack has a ton of custom loot tables. This page details how they have been edited. Keep in mind, though, that reading this removes a lot of surprise from what you might find, if that is something that you might worry about.

General Loot

For the most part, every loot table has a chance to spawn the following (surface chests, like the village blacksmith, will be on the low-end for the percentage chance):

  • Box of Eternal Closure (2 × 16.7%) - the first roll is for a generic vengeance spirit, the second roll is for a random player's spirit.
  • Ancient Tome (2% to 5%) - Increases the level of enchantments beyond their normal limits. Especially useful for fortune and looting.
  • Condensed Blood (15% to 25%) - Bonus blood for Evilcraft.
  • Overgrowth Seed (2% to 5%) - Seed makes Botania's flowers operate better.
  • Black Lotus (15% to 35%) - Bonus mana for Botania
  • Loot Capacitor (10% to 25%) - EnderIO's magic capacitors. Does not spawn in the Twilight Forest's chests (magic dimension, and all that). Some chests will roll this more than once, giving a small chance to get more than one such capacitor (desert pyramids roll upto 3 times, and although it is a "surface chest," it is on the high-end).
  • Forestry Bags (5%) - the type of bag depends on the chest. For example, abandoned mineshafts might have miner's backpacks while the Twilight Forest might have adventurer's backpacks. All backpacks found will be the basic versions.
  • Steadfast Bee (5%) - All chests have a chance to get these.

Item Frequency

Almost all loot tables are split into common, uncommon, rare, and ultra-rare lists. Chests will contain 3-7 common items, 2-4 uncommon items, 1 rare item, and have a 25% chance to contain 1 ultra rare item. What is in each list depends on the table. Rarer, later-game chests (such as those found in strongholds or end cities) might have what was in an earlier chest's uncommon list moved to common, or rare moved to uncommon.

Some chests will have guaranteed spawns, such as the Key chest in the Twilight Forest's dark tower, which will always contain a tower key.

Each chest selects 3 to 7 items from this list.

  • Constellation Paper (astral sorcery) (5) - Has a much higher frequency in marble shrines.

The following are specific to certain loot tables:

  • ice (25) - 1 to 6. Unique to Igloo chests
  • packed ice (25) - 1 to 6. Unique to Igloo chests

Uncommon Items

This list usually includes ingots, gems, and other useful crafting components. Each chest contains 2 to 4 items selected from this list.

  • Zinc (10)
  • Tin (10)
  • Copper (15)
  • Aluminum (5)
  • Lead (6)
  • Silver (7)
  • Nickel (3)
  • Gold (10)
  • Diamond (3)
  • Emerald (3)
  • Redstone (14)
  • Lapis (11)
  • Treated Wood (8) - Immersive Engineering
  • Aquamarine (10) - Astral Sorcery
  • Novice Spell Book (10) - Electroblob's Wizardry
  • Apprentice Spell Book (4) - Electroblob's Wizardry
  • Advanced Spell Book (1) - Electroblob's Wizardry

Rare Items

Each chest selects only one item from this list.

  • Golden Apple (8) Only one.
  • Notch Apple (1) Only one.
  • Obsidian (5) - 3 to 7.
  • Marble (15) - 32 to 64. Astral Sorcery.
  • Electrode Blueprint (5) - Immersive Engineering. Other blueprints are also available with a weight of 1 each.
  • EnderIO alloy ingot (63) - this can be any of the alloys (electrical steel, energetic alloy, vibrant alloy, and so on), but the harder the alloy is to make, the rarer it is. No matter which alloy spawns, you only get one ingot. These only spawn in the village blacksmith's chest.
  • EnderIO gear (64) - This can be a wooden gear, stone gear, bimetal gear, energized gear, or vibrant gear. Naturally, the higher tier gears are much rarer than the lower tier gears. You only get one gear. These do not spawn in the Twilight Forest.
  • Wand Upgrade (20) - All 8 types of upgrades, or either an apprentice or advanced wand upgrade (sum of all weights).

Uber-Rare Items

There is a 25% chance per chest that you'll get one of these.

  • Tool (?) - This is a huge list of tools. You only get one, and it can be anything from a flint hatchet to a diamond pickaxe. It is heavily weighted towards flint, though the flint tools are removed from higher-tier chests. Additionally, higher-tier chests have a higher chance that the tool will be enchanted, and typically higher enchantment levels. As an example of how it is weighted, you are 40 times more likely to get a flint tool than a diamond one. Tools can also include a yeta wrench, nature's compass, Electroblob's Wizardry wand, Evilcraft blood extractor, scribing tools, a chisel, and a few other things.
  • Master Spell (1) - These will not be found in surface chests, and will be made more common in later chests.

Lost Cities

To enter the Lost Cities, you'll need at least 2 blocks of diamonds. Place the blocks of diamond underneath a bed, and surround the bed with mob heads. You'll want to bring at least 2 more blocks of diamond, another bed, and plenty of heads to make a similar structure in the Lost Cities so that you can make your way back.

All treasure chests have a small chance to generate things like Immersive Engineering components, EnderIO magic capacitors, and so on. However, the Lost Cities will either have very few magic-related loot, or none at all.

Twilight Forest

To visit the Twilight Forest, make a pool of water, surround it with plants and/or flowers, and toss a diamond inside. A portal will form. Then, just jump into the portal.

All treasure chests have a small chance to generate things like boxes of eternal closure, overgrowth seeds, black lotuses, and other such rare loot, which hopefully makes looking into any chest worth doing, even if they aren't always worth taking.

You will not find technology-related things in the Twilight Forest, such as EnderIO's capacitors or Immersive Engineering's components. For that, you'll want to visit the Lost Cities. Much of the loot in the Twilight Forest will be related to magic-based mods.

Libraries, such as the Lich Tower's library, has a chance to generate celestial observations from Thaumcraft, spell books and upgrade tomes from Electroblob's Wizardry, and possibly other useful books.
