LeaverHandling
20% of the time a Direct Strike game in the Commanders game mode has at least one player who leaves the game 90 seconds before the end of the game. In the Standard game mode it is up to 40%. The advantage or disadvantage for a team can change significantly as a result. This can also be exploited, for example, by a pre-made team of three, where one player leaves the game to give the other two a better chance of winning. In order to make the rating system as fair as possible, we adjust the rating numbers in these cases.
By minimizing the impact of leavers on the overall experience, we aim to create an environment where the occurrence of such behavior is strongly discouraged. This approach maintains fairness and ensures that the integrity of the game is preserved for all participants, regardless of whether they are on the team with the leaver or not.
- Normal 3v3 replay - full rating applied
- The Commanders and CommandersHeroic game modes count for the Cmdr rating
- The Standard game mode counts for the Std rating
- One player left the game 90 seconds before the end of the game
- The two players on the leaver team usually have a significant advantage because of better stacking potential
- For the leaver player, the game counts as a loss (full score)
- The change in player rating for the other players is halved
- One player left the game 90 seconds before the end of the game on each team
- For the leaver players, the game counts as a loss (full score)
- If the time difference between the times of leaving the game is less than 15% of the game length, the game will be scored normally, else the change in player rating is halved
- Two player left the game 90 seconds before the end of the game on the same team
- For the leaver players, the game counts as a loss (full score)
- The remaining player does not have multiscan available but does have better stacking potential
- The player rating change is divided by four
- This rule is also applied on games with three or more leavers.
